SOCIAL AND CULTURAL PROGRAMME

Our standard month programme includes most of the following activities:

• first day welcome meeting: we introduce our school to students and, for four week course participants, offer a small buffet
• guided visits to Firenze and surrounding areas
• weekend one-day visits to the most interesting towns in Tuscany and, less frequently,  Umbria
• excursions to the countryside near San Giovanni
• visits and guided tastings of wine and extra virgin olive oil on farms in Chianti and other attractive areas close to San Giovanni
• afternoon shopping tours to Prada or Gucci outlets
• showings of Italian films (VHS) with a critical introduction (according to students’ wishes)
• evening meetings at school or in local pizza restaurants

Further activities can be arranged on request.

Every Monday students are given the details of that week's programme. For each excursion participants pay for transportation (often by public transport) and entrance fees.
